*An audience member on “The View” called co-host Whoopi Goldberg an “Old Broad” on Wednesday morning’s live show.
“We’re happy to see ya’ll. Cool, well, go on and have a seat,” Goldberg, 67, told the audience before turning her attention to a Black woman in the audience, EW reports.
“Did you just call me an old broad? Yeah?” Goldberg asks her.
“She said, ‘You old broad,’ and I was like, hey, it’s Wednesday, and I am an old broad, and happy about it,” the Oscar-winning actress continued.
Cohost Sunny Hostin then noted that being an “old broad” is better than being six feet underground.
“The alternative is not attractive to any of us,” Goldberg replied. “We all want to be old broads and old dudes, you know?”
