Laura Anderson is reported to have dumped Gary Lucy two weeks ago, leaving the Hollyoaks actor ‘devastated’.
Love Island star Laura, 33, announced the happy news she was expecting her first child earlier today in a joyous Instagram post.
She wrote in the caption: “Our hearts are full Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23”.
However, speculation over if Laura and Gary were still together was rife after she shared a cryptic post saying she was going through a “difficult time” of late.
Now, it has been reported Laura, who met Gary on Celebs Go Dating last year, left the Hollyoaks actor “devastated” after ending their romance.
Gary confirmed the pair were no longer an item as he said: “I love Laura but we are no longer together.
“My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby,” he added to The Sun.
Meanwhile, a source claimed: “Gary’s been left devastated – he’s absolutely heartbroken.
“They spent Christmas together and he travelled to Glasgow last weekend in a desperate attempt to try to win her back, they enjoyed a meal out and attended their first scan together – but Laura was adamant it’s over.”
Gary and Laura met on Celebs Go Dating last year, which the Love Island joined after her split from Dane Bowers, 43, whom she had been going through IVF with before their split.
Laura sparked concerns she and Gary had gone their separate ways as she shared a cryptic Instagram post recently.
Alongside a snap of herself posing alongside her beloved dog, she wrote on her stories: “I know I’ve been quiet on here and not myself this week or so.
“I’m going through a very difficult time, I actually don’t think I’ve ever felt so stressed in my life.
“As we know Instagram isn’t real life but over sharing negativity has never been something I like doing. Anyway my thought of the day for us all is – never lose yourself or your voice.”
She followed this up with another pointed social media post on Sunday when she shared a quote to her 1.5M followers: “I deserve it all. The career. The love. The family. The peace. The life.”
Underneath it she added: “We all do my angels. Especially the peace.”
Laura, who was on an off with Dane Bowers before meeting Gary, and Gary met on Celebs Go Dating, where she hailed him a ‘gentleman’ and said she was “the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
Speaking about Gary after the dating show, Laura told Closer: “[My time on the show] was a success. It doesn’t really matter who you end up with as long as you’re both happy.
“I definitely didn’t expect it, not going to lie. He was just poke, poke, poke – let me in and I was like ‘Okay then…'”.
