Michael B. Jordan & Will Smith will appear in “I Am Legend” sequel

In 2007, Will Smith released another classic film of his, with “I Am Legend.” The ending featured his character of Robert NeVillle passing away as a result of a fiery explosion, when he was protecting the cure to the Darkseeker mutation.

An “I Am Legend” sequel has been rumored to be in the works for a while now, over the last several years. As a result, this is reportedly on the way, according to Deadline. Akiva Goldsman adapted the famous Richard Matheson novel from 1954 in 2007, and will write another one, for the upcoming I Am Legend sequel.

Therefore, Will Smith will be producing this film, and his Robert NeVille character will also return. In addition to this, Michael B. Jordan will also be joining the cast, as well as the list of producers. However, it’s still unclear what MBJ’s official character in the film will bw.

This comes after Jordan recently appearing in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” as well as “Creed III,” which is hitting theaters on March 3. J. Cole’s Dreamville record label is also executive producing the soundtrack for the film, as well.
