Unfortunately for Brian Teta, his job doesn’t exactly stop at executive producing The View. In fact, the ladies revealed during this morning’s episode that the executive producer is often the one they go to with their problems, even when they’re off the clock.

In their new segment “View & A”, in which fans submit their concerns for the co-hosts to comment on in classic “Dear Abby” fashion, one woman wrote in that her husband has a co-worker who “overshares intimate and inappropriate details of her life with him,” including “updates on her hysterectomy” and a “play-by-play of her uterus.”

While Sara Haines expressed empathy for the woman, who she said may not have anyone else to turn to, Sunny Hostin suggested that the wife jump in to let the coworker know that her husband is not the one she should be sharing her “uterine woes” with.

However, Hostin also noted that she understands how it can be “hard” to draw the line with “work husbands.” She added, “I mean, Brian’s all of our work husbands. He gets a lot of texts from me, I’ll admit it.”

When the camera panned to Teta, he lowered his mask as he joked, “I’ve heard more about your uteruses than I ever want to hear again,” to which Hostin replied, “He’s the executive producer. So if we’re gonna be out or if I’ve had a rosé or two and I’m upset, I may text Brian.”

After Haines admitted that she also calls Teta if she’s ever in need, Joy Behar couldn’t help but roll her eyes at her fellow co-hosts.

“But you know what? He’s a producer, not a gynecologist,” she said, before turning back to the panel. “You women, you need to get a grip.”
