FROM an increasing appetite to almost instantly healthier hair and of course, a baby bump, women experience a lot of changes during pregnancy.

But for one mum, Remi Peers, it wasn’t just her appearance that took a new form – her perspective on beauty and what it means to be beautiful did too.

Since giving birth to her children, Remi has been very honest about parenting and regularly shares little glimpses of her daily life as a mother.

But perhaps more than anything, her TikTok page, Remi Clog, sees how her body’s transformed throughout the years – and although she’s come a long way to adjust and embrace the new curves, Remi still finds it a struggle.

In one of her most recent posts, the mum admitted that pregnancy humbled her.

Sharing snaps of herself before and after giving birth, Remi explained her way of thinking back then and now, years later.

”Looking back, I was a total prick – I was obsessed with the way I looked.

”It was pretty much all I cared about, all I thought about.

”I was the type of person who thought that because I was the type of person who could eat whatever I wanted and stay in shape […], anyone else who couldn’t maintain their weight just wasn’t working out hard enough.

”Like being thin was the most important thing in the world,” Remi said, adding she now cringed at her old perspective of living.

Then Remi fell pregnant with her first child and although her face remained the same, it took time to get used to her new shape.

”I refused to buy new clothes cause I thought what’s the point, my body’s ruined,” she reflected in the video on TikTok.

”Now, one year postpartum, my hair’s started falling out and now I look like Cynthia from The Rugrats.

”But funnily enough, I’m the happiest I’ve been in my life, so…”
