Britney Spears tied the knot with her longtime partner Sam Asghari on Thursday evening, becoming a newlywed for the third time during an intimate fairytale wedding that was attended by a select group of friends and family – including A-listers like Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, and Paris Hilton.
The highly-anticipated wedding took place at the 40-year-old singer’s $7 million Los Angeles mansion – with newly-released images capturing the blushing bride and her groom grinning from ear-to-ear after they exchanged their vows in front of an enormous pink-and-white flower wall.
Baby One More Time singer Britney was the picture of bridal bliss as she posed with her new husband, looking radiant in a custom-made white Versace wedding gown, which featured an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, long train, and an elegant veil that swept along the floor behind her as she exchanged vows with her 28-year-old husband.

The singer – whose wedding was not attended by estranged her family members, father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears, and sister Jamie Lynn Spears – added some fashionable flair to her gown by donning a white choker necklace and sheer white gloves. The dress also featured a thigh-high slit on one side.
Pictures also capture the stunning jewelry that she sported for the occasion, including a dazzling diamond necklace, two pairs of diamond earrings and, of course, her diamond wedding bands – of which she had two, while her husband opted for one simple single ring.
One of Britney’s two rings features a simple band of round stones, while the other is a circle of marquise diamonds, both of which were set in a silver metal – likely platinum. Sam’s band meanwhile has a two-tone metal design, with a circle of brushed metal running along the middle, with a shiny metallic band on either side.

As well as the wedding rings, Britney had a stunning collection of diamond jewelry to choose from for her wedding celebrations – with Vogue reporting that the array of jewels, designed by A-list jeweler Stephanie Gottlieb, totaled a whopping 62 carats and included a pair of round diamond and pear-shaped drop earrings, a heart-shaped diamond tennis necklace, and an oval diamond tennis bracelet.
The couple’s wedding rings were also created by Gottlieb, who said of the designs: ‘We knew that Britney’s dress had a classic silhouette with an open neckline, so we designed timeless pieces that would complement the style.’
Wedding dress designer Donatella Versace shared some insight into the creative process behind Britney’s gown as she arrived at the wedding, revealing that it involved ‘lot of fun [and] a lot of emotion’.
Britney opted to wear very simple, natural makeup for her wedding day – eschewing the dark black eyeliner that she is so often seen sporting, in favor of a much more low-key look that was created by celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and her niece Sofia, who was on-hand to style the bride on her big day.

Images taken inside the ceremony show the happy couple standing in front of a stunning flower wall that was covered in pink-and-white blooms – which also featured in the multiple floral arrangements that were placed in between the wooden pews where their guests were seated during the ceremony.
The pair held hands as they exchanged their vows, with Sam seen with a wide grin on his face as he faced his wife during the ceremony, which took place in a beautiful pink tent that was set up on the grounds of Britney’s California mansion and had multiple chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
Pink seems to have been the theme of the day, with the couple also pictured celebrating their union by exchanging a kiss on a balcony at the property, which had also been covered in pink blooms in varying shades.
The couple, who announced their engagement in September last year, were officially pronounced husband and wife in front of a small, select group of guests, which included several of their celebrity pals: Selena Gomez, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and Ansel Elgort were all invited to attend, however Britney’s estranged family members, and the two sons she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, were not present.

Federline confirmed to TMZ earlier in the day that their sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, would also but absent from the ceremony, but said that they were ‘happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward.’
If the absence of her family caused any distress for the bride, she certainly didn’t let it show on the day, with images capturing Britney grinning from ear-to-ear as she posed for newlywed portraits with her husband, who looked incredibly dapper in a black tuxedo, complete with white bouttoniere.
According to a wedding insider, the bride was reduced to tears of joy at several moments during the ceremony, with People reporting that she ‘walked herself down the aisle’ in the absence of her estranged father and her two sons.
‘Britney walked herself down the aisle. She looked absolutely stunning in her main dress,’ the source said. ‘She cried happy tears at some moments.
‘It ended up being the happiest night for Britney. She wanted a fairytale wedding and she got it. Britney looked stunning.’

However, the day was not without its fair share of drama.
Hours before Britney and Sam tied the knot, the popstar’s first husband, Jason Alexander, attempted to crash her wedding while livestreaming himself on Instagram, before being tackled by police, who booked him into jail, where he is understood to still be in custody.
Jason broadcast himself on social media as he ran through hillside trails, tussled with security guards at the star’s Thousand Oaks mansion and screamed ‘I’m Jason Alexander. The first husband. I’m here to crash the wedding.’
He then entered the wedding tent where Britney and Sam’s nuptials were held just hours later, shouting ‘she’s my first wife, she’s my only wife’.
Britney’s superstar attorney Mathew Rosengart – who was a guest at the wedding – later revealed that he was ‘absolutely livid’ about Jason’s stunt.

Mathew, a former federal prosecutor with a reputation that has seen him represent a host of high-profile clients since he went into private practice in 2001, said he is ‘personally working with the sheriff’s department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.’
Despite the dramatic events that preceded the ceremony, it still went off without a hitch – and Britney and Sam looked to have shrugged off any concern about Jason’s party crashing and subsequent arrest long before they exchanged their vows.
Britney and Sam got engaged last September, just two months before the Womanizer hitmaker’s 13-year conservatorship was terminated by a judge.
After the ceremony, Sam was seen jokingly trying on his wife’s veil – before both he and Britney underwent outfit changes ahead of the raucous reception, where guests were pictured dancing the night away in the same tent in which the ceremony had taken place.
Britney shed her wedding dress for the later part of the evening, changing into several different ensembles throughout the night, including a figure-hugging red mini dress, a long-sleeved red design, and a very short Versace tuxedo jacket, under which pink bikini strings could be seen.
The bodycon red dress featured long fringing at the sleeves and a plunging neckline – both of which were captured in images that show Britney recreating her iconic 2003 VMAs kiss with longtime pal and wedding guest Madonna.

63-year-old Madonna and Britney were snapped pecking on the lips, with the newlywed sporting her vibrant red mini dress, while the Like A Virgin singer was pictured wearing a long colorful caftan-style gown.
The pair were also pictured smiling for a snap alongside one another and in the middle of a warm hug on the dance floor inside the reception, while watched by a grinning Maria Menounos, who was also among the select guests at the event.
Britney was clearly in the mood to spread the love around throughout the evening, during which she was seen embracing Drew Barrymore and Selena Gomez, with all three happily smiling as the cameras snapped the touching moment.
According to Vogue, Britney and Sam chose not to enjoy a traditional first dance – but instead bopped along to a variety of hits, including her own song Toxic – before the popstar joined Paris Hilton to perform a rendition of the socialite’s critically-panned 2006 song Stars Are Blind.
Wine glasses, cigarette packets, and lighters were seen littering the glass tables inside the reception, where guests danced the night away with pink disco lights filling the space as they partied in celebration of Britney and Sam’s union.
The bride was without a doubt the star of the dance floor however; she was seen showing off her moves alongside a pal, while sporting a very short black Versace tuxedo jacket, under which she appeared to be wearing pink bikini bottoms – with the strings seen hanging down from the waist-length design.

Selena was the ultimate hype girl during the event, where she was pictured cheering Britney and Sam on as they hugged on the dance floor in front of their guests – including actor Ansel Elgort, who was a somewhat surprising addition to the guest list for the evening.
Vogue also revealed that the entire wedding was planned by celebrity event producer Jeffrey Best, who said that the couple wanted to share a ‘small and beautiful moment with their family and friends’.
‘We wanted warm and feminine colors including blush, white, cream, and gold, and a lot of various shades of pinks, blush, and reds,’ Best explained.
The party looked as though it could have carried on through the night – however insiders say that the newlywed couple actually headed out from the party at 10:15PM, when they were pictured in the back of a white $460,000 Rolls Royce departing their wedding venue.
Britney did her best to hide herself from the cameras – with the help of her new husband, who was pictured holding up a jacket to conceal her face as they sped off into the night in the luxury vehicle, which had been decorated with flowers and a traditional ‘Just Married’ sign.

Once the duo had made their exit from the wedding festivities, their guests were invited to carry on partying into the night, before making their own way home following a raucous evening of celebrations.
Following the couple’s departure, their celebrity guests were seen heading away from the venue in a parade of vehicles, with Madonna, Paris and Kathy Hilton, and Donatella all pictured making their way out of the drive of the popstar’s 12,464-square-foot, five-bedroom, eight-bathroom Italian villa.
The sprawling mansion was a hive of activity in the days before the wedding ceremony, when party planning staff and workers could be seen setting up the enormous tent where the wedding took place, while also delivering a host of decorations – and the Cinderella-style carriage.
The carriage, which was pulled by a large white horse, arrived shortly after 4PM and was the latest in a long line of arrivals, following minivans carrying workers and caterers.
Mom-of-two Britney hired luxe catering firm Contemporary Catering to provide food for the guests at the wedding. On its website, the company says ‘something sacred is at stake at every event’ and boasts of using the best local ingredients, adding: ‘Our commitment to quality ingredients goes uncompromised.

‘We utilize local organic produce whenever possible and source sustainable poultry and meat from local ranches.’
A sample wedding menu includes appetizers of Kobe beef sliders and Ahi tuna tartare, followed by entrees such as ‘a duet of spice rubbed, grilled and sliced flank steak’ or Santa Barbara sea bass served with charred fennel, saffron and a tomato herb cream sauce.

Desserts include panna cotta with berry compote and a molten chocolate cake.
Sam and Britney got engaged back in September 2021 after five years of dating. At the time the popstar revealed the happy news via Instagram, sharing a smiling video of her flashing her custom four-carat Forever Diamonds NY engagement ring while her husband-to-be peeked in from the side.
